You have the opportunity to change a child’s life forever.
Two thousand people in Managua, Nicaragua, call a trash dump home. Fifty-three percent of them are under the age of 18. These children live in
tin huts and survive with no running water, sewage, or electricity. Seventy percent of
their food comes from the trash. This is not a safe place.
Children begin working in the dump at the age
of four. Girls as young as seven are prostituted to local dump truck drivers.
Boys are beaten by their parents for not earning enough income. This is a dark place, but we have a vision to change the futures of
these children – to give them hope, help and healing. In 2009 we’re investing
our time and money in a local orphanage that rescues children from these
terrible conditions.
Through our partnership with LUO, a non-profit organization dedicated
to setting children free from poverty, we will provide these orphans a year’s
worth of academic and biblical education as well as meals and medical supplies.
This financial assistance will improve the quality of life for current
orphans and allow the orphanage to rescue more children. But we need your help. Just $200 will help support an orphan for an
entire year. Just $200. We’re looking for 150 individuals, families, or groups who
will make this commitment.
