We believe what happens at home is more important than what happens at church, so our approach to family ministry is a little different than most. Instead of being the primary spiritual developer in your child’s life, our goal is to equip you to fulfill that role. When parents and the church partner together in this, the impact is exponentially greater.

It makes sense. At most your child will be in one of our environments about 50 hours this year. They will spend over 3000 hours with you. So you are the most powerful influence in helping your child grow in faith. We simply want to come alongside you and help you be that spiritual leader your child needs.

To do that, we’ve designed our entire family ministry around this idea. Each of our environments uses curriculum that introduces key biblical truths to your child, but we then provide you with the tools to teach those same truths to your child all week long. Below you’ll find a few examples for each of our environments.

So thanks for taking an active role in your child’s spiritual development. And remember, while you are responsible to help your child take the next step in faith, you are not alone. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

TakeOff  is designed to repeat one key truth all month long. This Small Talk Card is a weekly tool to help you reinforce that truth with your child. It includes the key question and bottom line, the Bible story taught that week, and a teachable moments section to help you discuss it further with your child.

I-252 is designed to repeat one virtue all month long. Each week your child will receive a GodTime card. This card contains four short “devotionals” based on that week’s teaching that you can do with your child. The card gives you Scripture to read, a thought to consider, and an application activity to do.

The Fridge Door cards are also a weekly tool containing a memory verse, the Bible story and bottom line for the week, the Big Idea (character trait) for the month, and questions for you and your child to discuss. Now you never have to wonder what your child is learning on Sunday!

The Xceler8 show is an experience that you and your child will talk about all month long! Each show introduces the Big Idea that your child will be learning in I-252 that month. We’ll also provide an application tool that you can use as a family all month long.
